Ticketing changes April 2025

12 Feb 25

We are reducing standard ticket prices for members.

In order to enhance the benefits to members we are reducing the standard (non-Early Bird) ticket cost to £12.00.  This brings the difference in price between Early Bird and Standard tickets to £2.00, as it is for non-members.

Early Bird tickets are being limited.

At the same time, we are reducing the number of Early Bird tickets available for each show. The majority of the Early Bird prices will be allocated to member tickets.

This is to avoid the situation where our popular shows sell every ticket on an Early Bird price.

For performances from 1 April 2025 onwards there will be 20 Early Bird member tickets available, and 10 for non-members.

Hence for our standard shows our ticket prices will now be:

Non-Member

Early Bird (first ten sold for each performance) £14.00
Standard £16.00
Member
Member/Supporter Early Bird (first twenty sold for each performance) £10.00
Member/Supporter Standard £12.00

* Wednesday evening will continue to have a flexible price, minimum £5.00 per person.

There will no longer be a cut-off date for early bird tickets

Previously we had a cut off date for Early Bird tickets, this worked well to encourage people to book early, but made it less likely that people would take a punt on a less well known show.

It is still worth booking your tickets early, but they will now be limited by number only.

This will also make the set up of shows much easier on TicketSource.

How do the TicketSource waiting lists operate?

When a show sells out, we have an option of allowing potential customers to join a waiting list.  This is a new function from TicketSource.  It does have some drawbacks, as the list presented doesn’t have the detail of which performance someone is waiting for, or indeed who joined the list first (the list is presented in alphabetical order of the surname).  In the event a group of tickets become available, everyone on the list will be emailed and provided with a link to book the tickets.  Tickets are then booked on a first come, first served basis.  Unfortunately this is the limit of the functionality at the moment.

If you are very keen to see a sold out show, then it is usually better to turn up on the night of the show and make yourself known to the Box Office volunteer.  They will then sell tickets when they are advised of anyone that is not attending.

I'm not a member, how can I take advantage of these benefits?

Anyone can join, either as Full member or as a member of our Supporter Circle. See our Join In page.
