Remembering Jenny Gammon

We’re sad to announce the loss of long-time SLT member Jenny Gammon. Jenny had been a member for over 20 years, and her SLT career spanned acting, directing, writing, choreography, set design, costumes, and even composing and painting.

She was involved in a huge and diverse range of shows, from the title role in The House of Bernarda Alba (2009) to The Boyfriend (2013) to A Christmas Carol (2006), with her first being The Marriage-Go-Round in 2003. We last saw Jenny as Hen in Shimmer in June 2023, and she demonstrated her writing and directing talent with the hilarious short The One They Left Behind in August 2022. The photo below, taken by her husband Phil (who takes many of our amazing show photographs) is of Jenny as “The Actress” in The Blue Room in 2011.
