Hire a space at the SLT Fire Station
Built in 1881, the Old Fire Station in West Norwood has been the home of South London Theatre since 1967. Following an extensive renovation and restoration project we are delighted to be able to open our big red doors and offer a variety of spaces for hire.
Whether you are looking for space for a meeting, workshop, rehearsal, children's party, filming location or even a performance, we have a space to meet your needs.

Fly Loft
A light, bright multi-use room ideal for meetings, exercise classes, rehearsals and children's parties featuring beautiful natural wood flooring.

Kit Room
Slightly smaller than the Fly Loft, with good natural daylight and a welcoming ambience.

Watch Room
The home of our exhibition about the history of the Old Fire Station, the Watch Room is a small meeting room with added historical interest, situated just off the foyer.

The Library
The Library is a good-sized room with good light, great views and a peaceful atmosphere.

Theatre Auditorium
Newly refurbished 'black box' theatre, with flexible seating for audiences of up to 100, and a professional theatrical sound and lighting system. This versatile performance space is occasionally available for external hire, subject to the approval of The South London Theatre Centre Ltd (SLT).

Club Room Bar
During the day, the Club Room is available for hire for meetings and workshops (excludes bar hire).

Building Facilities
Projector and screen, flipcharts, and portable PA system are available on request.
High-speed WiFi is accessible throughout the building, and a portable T-loop is available in all rooms.
There is lift access to floors 1 & 2 and there are WCs on all floors.
We're able to provide refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits) for your event. A variety of local cafes and restaurants can provide bespoke catering and come highly recommended.
We also have a wide range of technical equipment available for hire.
