1974, and Britain has a hung parliament – Labour has gained power, but do not have an overall majority in the House of Commons. The corridors, back-rooms and bars become the battleground as the party whips attempt to cajole, woo, and bully the “odds and sods” of the minor parties to pick a side and change the future of the country. The next five years see class lines being drawn, ancient gentlemen’s agreements cast aside and MP’s dropping like flies from the stress and overwork of attempting to stay in power.
This House is a fictional account inspired by true events.
