Good Ship Comedy
Founded in Kilburn, migrated to Camden Town and now, for the first time, moving south of the river to West Norwood, Good Ship Comedy is your friendly neighbourhood comedy club.
For the past fifteen years they have featured some of the finest comics from the UK and international festival circuit including Josh Widdicombe, Sara Pascoe, Sindhu Vee, Nish Kumar, Rich Hall, Katherine Ryan and many, many more. All presented by resident compere, Ben Van der Velde.
“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage." Huffington Post
Featuring:
FELICITY WARD
Grown from a carob pod in a sunny, Central Coast national park, Felicity Ward is a multi-award winning comedian, actor and writer who has toured her award-winning, sell-out shows across the world, winning hearts of audiences and critics everywhere she goes.
Fellicity has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Alan Davies' As Yet Untitled, Mock the Week and Gotham Comedy in the USA. Felicity is a Chortle UK Club Comic of the Year nominee and has been nominated in Australia for Best Comedy at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, and won Best Australian Act at Perth Comedy Festival, and Sydney Comedy Festival, twice.
In 2018, Felicity recorded her first BBC Radio 4 series, Appisodes and was a regular co-host of The Guilty Feminist Podcast, before going on to support Maria Bamford on her UK tour and opening for Amy Schumer at Soho Theatre in London. You won't find a harder working, more original or loveable comic around right now.
“Full of exuberant, unexpected moments.” The List
“Brave and funny.” Sunday Times
JAKE LAMBERT
Jake fell into a career as a stand up, after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad. He decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the final of pretty much every new act competition in the business.
He has gone on to support Michael McIntyre, Seann Walsh, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett on their UK tours as well as writing on Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Now Show, News Quiz, Virtually Famous, Bake Off: The Professionals, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice.
There are few gag writers in the business with an eye, tongue and pen as sharp and hilarious as Jake. “A joke machine.” The Telegraph
MARK CRAM
For over 10 years Mark has been plying his comedy trade across the UK. Constantly evolving, usually unpredictable; he is garnering positive reactions everywhere he goes.
A bisexual comedian with a unique take on the LGBT community; Mark thrills crowds with his tales of dead-end jobs, his family and being the less than grateful winner of Bedford Comedian of the Year. Having gigged with some big names and having become a regular at some of London’s top comedy clubs, Mark is an act not to be missed.
