COMEDY CLUB 4 KIDS

South London Theatre welcomes: Comedy Club 4 Kids
Join some of the finest comics in the land as they reproduce their sets for kids but without the rude bits! For almost 20 years Comedy Club 4 Kids have brought nonsense, slapstick, bum jokes and otters (so many otters) to theatres all over the country.
Featuring Bec Hill, Paul Duncan McGarrity and Ben Van der Velde (MC)

BEC HILL
Australian-born Bec Hill is an award-winning comedy performer and sought-after television writer. She writes and hosts her own family-friendly CITV series "Makeaway Takeaway" and is the creator and author of Hachette’s new collection of creep-tastic books called “Horror Heights”.
Bec has appeared on multiple comedy and panel shows, including “8 Out of 10 CatsDoes Countdown”, “The Jonathan Ross Show”, “Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club”, and every season of “The Dog Ate My Homework”. When she isn’t performing, writing, or
going viral for her paper-puppetry, she co-hosts the podcast “A Problem Squared” with mathematician and YouTuber, Matt Parker. She loves sci-fi, is the self-proclaimed Tooth Fairy for Adults, and owns a dwarf hamster called Pudding.
"Hill is a multi-coloured ray of eternal sunshine. In a world of pain and darkness, her
total lack of cynicism is refreshing." The Scotsman
"There's something special about Bec Hill." The Times

PAUL DUNCAN MCGARRITY
Paul Duncan McGarrity is the UK’s foremost stand-up comedian archaeologist, as seen on BBC4’s The Big Dig. Paul dishes the dirt on what it’s really like down in the trenches, what sort of helmets the Vikings wore, the awkward truth behind the death of Richard III and Shakespeare’s laddish side.
Do not even THINK of asking him about dinosaurs!
“Like a very big, excitable child.” The Scotsman

BEN VAN DER VELDE (MC)
One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.
"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharptongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
