Casting: Bacchae

Jeremy Davies announces the cast for his classic battle of wills story between Dionysus and Pentheus in the ancient city of Thebes.

 

Performances: 25 February – 1 March 2025

You never know with a niche genre like Greek Tragedy what response you’ll get with auditions. But I needn’t have worried. There was a fantastic response and all those who came along brought an array of talent that made the casting process a real challenge. I can’t wait for us to get started with our enthusiastic cast, made up of almost all new or younger members of SLT. With new music I have written especially for the show along with a production team of young designers with bold ideas, this is going to be quite a spectacle!
