A guided tour of the Old Fire Station - West Norwood
As part of the 2023 London Open House festival we are offering guided tours of the South London Theatre - Old Fire Station.
Our Gothic revival-style former fire station was built in 1881, and remains a rare example of a fire station built for horse-drawn tenders, with the original look-out tower and doors still in place.
After being used mainly as a church hall for neighbouring St Luke’s after 1917, in 1967 it was converted to a theatre, and we’ve been at the heart of our south London community ever since.
Tours will take place on the hour between 12:00 and 16:00 on 17 September 2023
