Learning and Participation Research
One of the things that the Heritage Lottery Fund want to see in any application for funding is that the project will help people to learn about the heritage of the building, and offer people opportunities to participate in the project.

So we thought a good first step in that direction would be to do some research among people who perhaps weren't already involved with the South London Theatre to see if they what sort fo things would interest them.

We created a questionnaire to find out whether people would be interested to take part (either as audience or organisers) in eight different projects:

  • Heritage Research
  • Interpretation and Exhibitions
  • Educational Materials
  • Audio Guide
  • Guided Tours
  • West Norwood Heritage Trail
  • Events for Schools
  • New Drama Commissions
Questionnaires were handed out and collected at the AGM of the Norwood Forum and to visitors to London Open House weekend.

You can see a copy of the questionnaire here.

Responses were good, with lots of people saying they would like to see the projects, and several coming forward as volunteers to help deliver them.
